BBQ Stir-Fry

SERVES: 6 / TIME: 2h (1h30min Prep & 30min cook)

With our newest product of Premium Beef Stir-Fry; we thought it would be great to add a little simple recipe that celebrates how versatile this meat can be.

Sure we could marinade the beef with garlic, ginger, a bit of soy sauce etc... however in my household I have to take into account a dreaded GARLIC INTOLLERANCE!!!!

Now I have an unholy addiction to garlic.  I'd put that $h!t on EVERYTHING; alas, my wife literally cannot stomach it.  On the plus side, I've had to account for this in my daily cooking and have been able to substitute the flavours for her.

For this simple BBQ Beef Stir-Fry Recipe, I used the following:

  • 1 lb of Premium Stir-Fry
  • 1 Pkg Penne Pasta
  • 1 Spanish Onion
  • 1 Pkg Cremini Mushrooms
  • 1 Broccoli - cut into flowerettes
  • 10 Brussel Sprouts (quartered)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • 1/3 cup Fresh Parmesan
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Salt (or to taste)
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Granulated Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon of Chili Spice
  • 1 Teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon of Cumin
  • 1/4 Cup Bourbon
  • 1/4 Cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • 3 sprigs of Fresh Thyme

Mix marinade together and cover stir-fry beef - cover for at least 1 hour in the fridge or air seal in a ziploc baggie.

In the meantime, cut your veggies and put aside. Fill a pot with salted water to the directions of the penne (or other pasta variant); bring water to a boil.

In a wok or large frying pan - put on high heat until smoking.  Pour olive oil into the hot pan and throw in the meat (reserve the marinade until later); constantly stirring until seared or no longer pink.  Remove from pan onto a plate to rest.

Pour a bit more oil in the hot pan and toss in the veggies.  Give them a good couple of tosses; add the meat and marinade.  Reduce heat.

Drain pasta toss & coat with olive oil and fresh parmesan.  Place evenly onto a plate or bowl.  Add BBQ Stir-Fry and veggies.
